About Leah known as Bass from Pyrotank:

From the start I had only two characters: Bass and Treble. The idea for them came from song called It's all about the Bass by Meghan Trainor. In short: thank you Meghan Trainor for inspiring names of characters. Different variations were drafted in my head. But they lack one key element for me: a good story. That is until I fleshed out a story about the twins and other older sister.

I'll talk about Alto in the upcoming chapter. Aside that, Bass in my story and drafts have little differences. They are both hyperactive, talkative, and understands "the fourth wall." But there is the first difference: my idea for her was much older. She would be considered in the twenties, which is still a child to her kind. What I meant is that she belongs to a race of long living beings. But I've decided to make her younger to cement her innocence.

She would of been the only "special" sister of three. Bass still retains her very quick speed. But not included was her skates. In my head, she would be the only multi-talented being capable of super human speed, strength, and intuition. But sadly, I taken the intuition part away and gave it to her sister Alto. I don't give myself the chance to show Bass's talent of strength yet. I hope that I will. Bass is one of two of my favorites. I guess she expresses the randomness that I usually sort out in my head. Such as craving ice cream, or eating sweet things, or wanting to spam the word cheese.

Both myself and Bass have a love of music. We both like certain hip-hop music, 8 bit music such as Undertale's Megalovania, and pop music. It is just coincidence that she loves Meghan Trainor's songs. Bass very much knows about her origin. Maybe that is why she likes it.

Earlier I talk about "the fourth wall." That idea comes from a comic book character that is mentioned in my one chapter short story. Marvel's trademarked Deadpool gave me another aspect to Bass. They both know that they are characters and talk to the readers. It is a concept that I added after I came up the journal drafts. It is not a coincidence, that she is a fan of his.

Oh! before I forgot. Bass retains my original idea about her hair, she is blonde by the way. But what I changed is that it belongs to her human illusion instead of her real self. She is an Ellicausan. Which is a race of beings that has dark skin, black gases emitted from the body, with different shades of hair color and usually human height. It is hard to see the facial features due to the dark tones of the skin and gases.

The backstory about it, Bass choose to look like her best friend, Fey the human. With minor differences, Bass loved that look. But it is a pain to her twin. Treble is in the next chapter. And I'm glad to keep them being twins. Although not identical twins from my original idea. The partial twin-ship gives me more room to play with.
